לאחר שניתן פסק דין בבג"ץ 382/11 הרי שכיום תלויות ועומדות בפני בית משפט
זה "רק" שתי עתירות בעניין הרכב המועצה הדתית בטירת הכרמל: בבג"ץ 6863/10 עותרת עיריית טירת הכרמל לפעול לחידוש הרכב המועצה הדתית ולבטל את ההחלטה למנות ממונים למועצה הדתית. בבג"ץ 8797/10 עותרת הרבנות המקומית כנגד מינויו של מר עמרן להרכב המועצה הדתית (עתירה זו באה במקום בג"ץ 3589/10 שנמחק), וזאת על רקע מערכת יחסים עכורה בין מר עמרן לבין רב העיר.
בשלב זה, וכפי שעולה מתשובת המשיבים 1-2 מיום 22.8.2011, הושהו הליכי ההרכבה של מועצות דתיות עד לקביעת קריטריונים לתנאי הכשירות לתפקיד ראש מועצה דתית (בעקבות בג"ץ 7068/10 חמי דורון נ' השר לשירותי דת).
העתירות ייקבעו לדיון בפני הרכב בהקדם, מתוך הנחה כי עד לאותו מועד יושלמו הליכי ההרכבה של המועצה הדתית על פי הקריטריונים שיתגבשו.
